Arizona utility regulators approve APS rate hike

Arizona Public Service (APS) customers will soon see higher rates. The Arizona Corporation Commission approved on Thursday a rate hike of about 8% for APS by a 4-1 vote.

The average monthly bill for Arizona Public Service Co. residential customers will rise by roughly 8%, in the range of $10 to $12 a month, after a rate increase approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission. The new rates will take effect on or after March 8.
