Mesa is buying an all-electric fire truck as part of plan to address climate change
An all-electric fire truck could service Mesa’s largest master-planned community by the end of next year. Mesa leaders recently signed off on spending $1.4 million on a totally electric fire truck and put it to work at the new Mesa Fire Station 221 near Eastmark, which is scheduled to open in November.
Tempe looks to add electric vehicle charging stations
Tempe discussed plans to incorporate electric vehicle charging stations along with sustainable infrastructure on Thursday. Tempe’s Sustainable and Livable Communities Council Committee met on Thursday afternoon to discuss various ways to be greener and more efficient, specifically highlighting solar permitting policies.
